Now how does the Scriptures and title above tie into one another.....I don't know....I just know I attempted to write this Motivation at around 4:00am but just couldn't. Holy Spirit directed me to the Scriptures, gave me the title but that was all I had. I figured instead of trying to operate in the flesh and try to make something happened, I'd go back to bed and wait until Holy Spirit gave me what He wanted to say to the Church! Well after I laid down for about an hour.....I was awakened by this Word from The Lord"

GOD WILL MEET YOU AT YOUR POINT OF NEED!!!!

That's it People of God.........GOD WILL MEET YOU AT YOUR POINT OF NEED......not mine....not your spouse's....not your brother's.....sister's........but at YOUR point of need!!!!

"Encourage Yourself In The Lord"

I don't know what battles....what circumstances and what issues some are you are facing right now.....but know.....GOD KNOWS!!!! He knows every situation.....he knows every struggle....and every challenge!

While God has gifted me with the Gift of Exhortation to encourage and uplift His People......this day Holy Spirit wants you to.......ENCOURAGE YOURSELF IN THE LORD!!!

Judges 20:22: "And the people the men of Israel encouraged themselves, and set their battle again in array in the place where they put themselves in array the first day."

I Samuel 30:6: "And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God."

II Chronicles 32:5: "Also he (Hezekaiah) strengthened himself, and built up all the wall that was broken, and raised it up to the towers, and another wall without, and repaired Millo in the city of David, and made darts and shields in abundance."

Each of them.....The Men of Israel, David and Hezekiah....when faced with a battle after they sought God for direction......THEY ENCOURAGED THEMSELVES.....PURSUED AND WON!!!

People of God......YOU WILL WIN!!!! ENCOURAGE YOURSELF IN THE LORD......ASK HIM TO COVER YOU WITH THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS AND FACE YOUR BATTLE HEAD ON......GOD IS WITH YOU....HE'S THERE....FIGHTING FOR YOU....WITH YOU........EVERY STEP OF THE WAY.....HE'S THERE.....ENCOURAGE YOURSELF IN THE LORD!!!!!

I'll end with a Prayer which includes excerpts from II Chronicles 32:7-8 & Ephesians 3:16:

"Be strong and courageous. Be not afraid or dismayed.....for there is Another with us greater than all those with him (the enemy).....with him (the enemy) is an arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles....May God grant you out of the rich treasury of His Glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty Power in the inner man by Holy Spirit Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality.......in Jesus' Name and by His shed Blood.....Amen!

This morning I was awaken after having a very disturbing dream. My youngest son, Jaquan, must have been about 5 or 6 in the dream....anyhow.......he and I were up 2 stories standing on a porch. As Quan was playing he grabbed a hold of me and kinda wrapped his little body around me.....obviously I didn't want to play because I kept trying to push him away telling him to move......and for some reason....telling him to wake up.....wake up.......well....I guess I pushed the little boy too hard because before I knew it....I pushed him off the porch.....y'all my heart was about to stop in the dream.....I was distraught....talk about scared.....and panicked...... well.... when I did come to myself (we all have to come to ourselves) and looked over the side of the porch....low and behold Quan had not fallen to the ground but actually.... somehow....NO....by The Grace of God.....he was hanging by the back of his shirt...on a fence....WHEW!!

After Quan was taken down (and I don't know how he got down)....but afterwards he came to me.....the little boy....with smiles all over his face....started telling me how good God was and how as he was falling......he remembered THE WORD that was spoken into his life! WOW!!!! I Love how The Lord orchestrates and confirms what has been placed on my heart because just as I checked my emails this morning Sis. Sharon's devotional gave confirmation!

People of God.......GOD'S EYES ARE ON THE SPARROW......HE'S WATCHING OVER US.... OVER OUR CHILDREN.... PROTECTING THEM FROM DANGERS SEEN AND UNSEEN..... HE'S WATCHING OVER THEM.....LEADING AND GUIDING THEIR FOOTSTEPS ALL THE WAY.....RATHER THEY REALIZE IT OR NOT......REMEMBER HOW YOU WERE WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD...... YOU CAME TO YOURSELF DIDN'T YOU.....JUST LET THEM GO IN JESUS' NAME....... ALLOW THE BLOOD OF JESUS TO COVER THEM...PROTECT THEM.....ALLOW THE WORD OF GOD THEY HAVE BEEN TAUGHT....SPOKEN INTO THEIR LIVES... ALLOW THE WORD TO BRING THEM BACK HOME......WHILE YOU HAVE THE CHANCE..... JUST KEEP TRAINING THEM.......THEY MIGHT GO ASTRAY FOR A MINUTE.......BUT SOONER OR LATER....BY AND BY.......THEY WILL WAKE UP....AND LIKE THE PRODIGAL SON....... THEY WILL COME HOME.........AND YOU'LL SEE AND THEY'LL TELL YOU..... YOUR WORK WAS NOT IN VAIN......SO STOP WORRYING.....STOP FRETTING.....GIVE THAT CHILD OR THOSE CHILDREN TO GOD.......LET GOD HAVE HIS WAY IN THEIR LIFE..... YOU CAN'T PREVENT THE FALL......THE FALL IS INEVITABLE....YOU CAN HOWEVER BE THERE AFTER THE FALL WITH STRETCHED OUT ARMS.....JUST AS CHRIST RECEIVED YOU WHEN YOU WERE LOST.....RECEIVE YOUR CHILD WITH LOVE......JUST LET GO....AND LET GOD AND BELIEVE.......THEY ARE SAFE IN HIS ARMS!!!

"Thermostat.....or Thermometer"

I forgot now where I heard this last week, but I heard someone say we should be like a thermostat....setting the atmosphere around us. This morning I was reminded of that when I went into my favorite breakfast spot. As the gentleman behind the counter and I were engaged in a conversation about speaking and thinking positive......he said........"Paula, rather you know it or not, there's something about you that when others are around you, they want to do better.....even me"! Well little does he want to admit (he's a Muslim) or know....that that "something" is THE POWER AND ANOINTING..........through Jesus Christ by Holy Spirit....that God has Graciously place on and in my life!!

Now, it's not that I'm puffing myself up because no man should "think highly of himself than he ought to think" (Romans 12:3)....because....I GIVE GOD ALL THE GLORY and boldly say like Paul "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by Faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." (Galatians 2:20)

It's always been one of my desires that when others see me.....they see Christ who lives within me. Matthew 5:16 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and Glorify your Father which is in Heaven." God gets The Glory out of all we do.....that's why it's important that as Believers we always have to remember.....we "walk by Faith and not by sight"! (2 Corinthians 2:5)

We should operate like thermostats.....setting the atmosphere around us and not like a thermometer which goes up and down according to it's environment or atmosphere. The unbelievers are watching! They are watching and listening to how we talk....they are watching how we react...especially when we are faced with challenges and adversity. They are even watching how we respond to how they treat us! We should not allow how we feel or the circumstances surrounding us to detect our actions and thoughts!

People of God.....GOD WANTS TO BRING US INTO A HIGHER CALLING BUT HE CAN'T UNTIL WE DIE TO SELF AND SEE OURSELVES AS CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST....GOD WANTS US IN THAT PLACE WHERE WE WALK LIKE CHRIST....TALK LIKE CHRIST.............BELIEVE LIKE HE BELIEVED....JESUS HIMSELF SAID THAT GREATER WORKS SHALL WE DO THAN HE DID......WE WERE MADE IN HIS IMAGE AFTER HIS LIKENESS....WE ARE THE ONLY IMAGE OF CHRIST SOME PEOPLE WILL EVER SEE......WHERE EVER CHRIST WENT...THE PEOPLE WENT RUNNING TO BE IN HIS PRESENCE......WE SET THE ATMOSPHERE OF PRAISE AROUND US....WE SET THE ATMOSPHERE OF WORSHIP AROUND US.....WE HAVE THE ABILITY TO TOUCH THE LIVES OF OTHERS THROUGH CHRIST......WE CAN'T GO ON OUR FEELINGS.....WE CAN'T BE SWAYED BY OUR CIRCUMSTANCES......WE MUST SET THE ATMOSPHERE OF EXPECTANCY....PRAISE AND HOPE......WE SET THE ATMOSPHERE WHERE OTHERS DESIRE TO TASTE AND SEE THAT THE LORD IS GOOD.....OH PEOPLE OF GOD....WHEN WE SET THE ATMOSPHERE....LIKE THE JAILER ASKED PAUL AND SILAS....WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED....IN SETTING THE ATMOSPHERE AROUND US....LIVES WILL BE CHANGED......HEARTS WILL RETURN TO CHRIST....WHEN WE SET THE ATMOSPHERE....THE SICK WILL BE HEALED....BROKEN HEARTS WILL BE MENDED.....OUR FAMILY WILL BEGIN TO ALIGN THEIR FAITH WITH OURS......OUR BOSSES WILL BEGIN TO DO THINGS THEY NORMALLY DON'T DO FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES AND OTHERS WILL BE BLESSED BECAUSE WE HAVE SET THE ATMOSPHERE FOR BLESSINGS TO FLOW......WHEN WE SET THE ATMOSPHERE......THE PRAYER OF JABEZ ALLOWS GOD TO ENLARGE OUR TERRITORY...WHEN WE SET THE ATMOSPHERE...WE DECLRAE AND DECREE A THING AT IT IS SO.....HOLY SPIRIT BEGINS TO MOVE....OPERATE AND FLOW IN A WAY THAT INSTEAD OF OTHERS TALKING ABOUT THE MIDAS TOUCH...THEY WILL CONFESS AND KNOW.......I'VE BEEN INTHE PRESENCE AND GOD.....I'VE BEEN TOUCHED......AND IT MUST HAVE BEEN THE HANDS OF THE LORD.....GLORRRYYY.....I BLESS HIM TODAY PEOPLE OF GOD....I BLESS HIM!!!!! Thermostat.........or Thermometer????????

"You're On The Winning Side"

"So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen." Matthew 20:16

I saw a classic example of the first ending up being last on Cupcake Wars! Just to give a very brief description of the show.....there are a total of 3 rounds and 4 competitors. Each competitor is asked to bake specialty cupcakes and during the first 2 rounds one competitor is sent away. The last 2 remaining competitors square off in the final round for a chance to showcase their cupcakes at a major event and also win a Grand Prize of $10,000.

Now there were 3 women and 1 man. The man I thought was just not a good sport at all. He couldn't just finish his cupcakes in the first round and focus on himself....nooooooo.....he had to make comments and poke jabs at the women because he thought they had taken longer than he did. He started bragging about how good his cupcakes were and that he just knew he was going to win the competition.....NOT!

Well "Mr. I Know I Got It Like That" was gone in the 1st round. The one woman who counted herself out the competition before the judges ever tasted her cupcakes....she went before the judges in tears because she felt her cupcakes were not fully cooked.......but guess what.....and even she said it herself....she didn't know how...but by the time the judges tasted her cupcakes....it was like a miracle had taken place....the cakes were fully cooked......who figure! Her cupcakes were fully cooked...the judges loved them and hers were the best of all.....check this out....she not only won each round as the judge's favorite...but she ended up winning the $10,000 prize and she got the opportunity to showcase her cupcakes at a celebrity golf tournament!!! If I could have said something to the guy before he left in the 1st round....I would have given him a dose of his own medicine and said....."Na na na boo boo.....who's winning now"!

People of God.....the enemy wants us to feel and think we are in last place.....like God has turned His back on us.......he wants us to think that others in the world are way ahead of us....like the unsaved are being Blessed and that God has overlooked His Children.......we know the devil is a liar.............remember the story of the tortoise and the hare......DO NOT FRET BECAUSE OTHERS APPEAR AS IF THEY ARE PROSPERING........DON'T LOOK AT WHAT THEY HAVE AND YOU DON'T HAVE......THEY WILL SOON BE CUT DOWN LIKE THE GRASS AND WITHER AS THE GREEN HERB.....DON'T WORRY ABOUT SATAN'S TAUNTS AND HIS JABS AT YOU...GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN YOU THAN HE THAT IS IN THIS WORLD....DON'T WORRY ABOUT THAT WOMAN/MAN THAT HAS A HUSBAND/WIFE AND YOU DON'T.....YOU DON'T KNOW THE ABUSE OR TORTURE SHE/HE MIGHT BE GOING THROUGH......YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY WENT THROUGH TO GET WHAT THEY HAVE......YOU WAIT ON THE LORD.....ALL GOOD AND PERFECT GIFTS COMES FROM ABOVE.......GOD SEES YOUR TEARS....HE KNOWS YOUR STRUGGLES.......HE HASN'T FORGOTTEN ABOUT YOU......YOU JUST STAY FOCUSED ON YOUR TASK AT HAND......DON'T WORRY.....YOU JUST KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE PRIZE.....GREAT IS HIS REWARD....YOU WILL BE REWARDED GREATLY....YOU WILL INHERIT THE EARTH....YOU WILL REAP PEACE AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO STAND BEFORE KINGS.........ALWAYS REMEMBER......THE RACE IS NOT GIVEN TO THE SWIFT NOR THE BATTLE TO THE STRONG..........BUT TO THOSE WHO ENDURE......YOU ENDURE.......CONTINUE IN RIGHTEOUSNESS......STAY YOUR COURSE......AND YOU WILL TRIUMPH IN JESUS' NAME.......YOU HAVE OVERCOME.......BECAUSE YOU ARE ON THE WINNING SIDE!!!!!

"All God Wants Is Yes"

It was about 4:30am when I heard "Paula"! I didn't respond with a "huh"....I didn't say anything....I just got up and headed for Prayer. After I Prayed.....and as Holy Spirit often moves.....I opened the Bible right to Jeremiah Chapter 37. My eyes immediately focused on verse 17 which I had highlighted in the Bible ".....Is there any word from the Lord."

As I read on and on....I took note of a couple of Scriptures that said "....Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison." (Jeremiah 37:21 and Jeremiah 38:13). Now I was sitting here....trying to figure out....Lord what do You want me to talk about......I started searching and searching reading about Jeremiah's plight in jail......trying to figure out.....should the topic of the Motivation be "Stuck With No Place To Go"....this Sister was Praying hard y'all......all sorts of ideas were running through my mind but guess what......Jeremiah was not the only one stuck with no place to go.....I was literally stuck with NO Word from The Lord other than....."go back to bed"!

Probably 5 minutes after I laid back down......I heard......."when I called you....your response should have been "YES LORD" then just as clear.......I heard Shekinah Glory's song "Yes". I went on Youtube to look for the song.......and it wasn't until I heard Part 2 that Holy Spirit really began to minister to me personally! Perhaps one day I can speak about Jeremiah's imprisonment but for now.....all Holy Spirit is allowing me to say today People of God is......ALL GOD WANTS IS YES!!

"Persevere"

Okay I'll piggy back or as they say.....expound on The Word my cousin Minister LaKisha texted today:

"You need to persevere so that when you have done the Will of God, you will receive what He has promised." Hebrews 10:36 (NIV)

Dictionary meaning of per·se·vere (pûr s -vîr ): To persist in or remain constant to a purpose, idea, or task in the face of obstacles or discouragement.

When I look at the word persevere...for me....it's not only a challenge to spell it…...but to actually carry out its meaning…....well that's 100 times more challenging....especially in the midst of a crisis....obstacle or discouragement!

I remember after I went to my Daddy and asked for forgiveness........I asked him how did he do it....how did he get through all those years knowing that his very own knuckle head daughter......(that’s me talking)who lived one bridge away from him....how did he make it knowing I shut him out of my life? Well my loving and forgiving Daddy said......."I always knew one day you would come around." DADDY….that was more than one day….that was 42 YEARS!!!! Talk about persevering!!!! Thank God for Jesus in his life because my Daddy remained constant in his Prayers and thoughts that one day I would come around! Every time Daddy answers my phone calls…..the first thing he says is “hello my Dearest Darling Daughter”…….you should see my face when he says that…..I light up like a barn fire!!!

Meditate on this: "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in Heaven give good things to them that ask Him?" Matthew 7:11

People of God....I know today some of you might be facing challenges.....obstacles or discouraging situations….....or even rejection……PERSEVERE! REMAIN CONSTANT IN THAT PURPOSE……IDEA OR TASK HOWEVER DIFFICULT IT MAY BE……REMAIN CONSTANT BY STANDING AND SPEAKING THE WORD OF GOD….FOCUS ON HIS PROMISES……CONFESS HIS PROMISES…..REMAIN STEADFAST….DON’T WAIVER…..REMAIN CONSTANT IN HOPE….ALTHOUGH YOUR SITUATION MAY SEEM IMPOSSIBLE…..REMEMBER WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE…. DO NOT BECOME WEARY….DO NOT FAINT….. ..YOU WILL REAP IF YOU FAINT NOT…..YOU WILL INHERIT THE PROMISES OF GOD…….. YES THAT SITUATION HURTS…..YES THAT SITUATION STINKS WORSE THAN LAZARUS DID 3 DAYS IN THE GRAVE…..BUT PERSEVERE ANYHOW……….LET PATIENCE HAVE IT’S PERFECT WORK IN YOU….GOD HAS A PLAN AND PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE……GO WIT THE FLOW…… STICK IT OUT……GOD IS SO FAITHFUL AND HE LOVES YOU SO MUCH…..YOU ALREADY KNOW ALL THINGS ARE WORKING TOGETHER FOR YOUR GOOD…SO ALLOW GOD TO BE GLORIFIED IN YOUR SITUATION….LET HIS WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN….PERSEVERE MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS…..PERSEVERE!!!!!
